Great entry! I loved the artstyle, it's simple but really unique at the same time, it is what caught my attention and made it stand out from NaNoReNo's screenshot lineup. Also the little shapes are very charming. I also loved how you use renpy "transforms" to animate the characters while the narration is going on.
The story is very interesting and quite dark. I've yet to play all the routes, but I really felt bad for killing the guy on the trapeze the first time around, although at least I spared the circus. I like how the main character is compelled by his followers to do all that stuff, when the guys at the circus are just having fun and spreading joy. I feel like there is this theme of prejudice and fear all throughout. Great job!
Thank you so much for the kind words and for playing!
Fear was definitely one of the main themes, especially in terms of what might make immortal deities afraid of mortals. I love circuses, such as Cirque du Soleil, and have always admired the performers drive to push beyond human limits to create a sense of awe and wonder for their audience.
